Spend this holiday season on Fort Myers Beach. Get out of the cold and into the sun and sand. Here are some wonderful island events taking place this holiday season. 


Christmas Boat Parade 2017 (29th Annual- Dec 2)
December 2, 2017
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM 
Come enjoy some Christmas spirit at the 29th Annual Fort Myers Beach Christmas Boat Parade!  Last year we had over 30 boats participating and this year promises to be even more exciting.   The parade will pass by such establishments as Bootleggers Waterfront Barbeque, Parrot Key Caribbean Grill, Matanzas on the Bay, Nervous Nellies, Doc Fords and Bonita Bills where you can kick back and enjoy the fun. Cost is $25 per boat and $50 for a sponsored boat. You can download and application here.  You can submit a check or credit card information with you application or you can pay online. You MUST however fill out and submit an application regardless of how you pay. This event is brought to you by the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce. The parade will pass though Matanzas Harbor and the first two canals of Siesta Isles.  
 
 
Santa on the Sand, hosted by FOLKS (Friends of Lovers Key) and the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs

FOLKS(Friends of Lovers Key) & the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs will be hosting  Santa on the Sand  at Lovers Key State Park.  Bring your children, grandchildren & friends for an afternoon of lunch, games & prizes on the beach with Santa.  We will be collecting unwrapped toys, which will later be distributed by the Rotary Club to local children.  Each child, aged 8 & under, who donates an unwrapped toy will visit with Santa and receive a small gift. Bring your own camera or cell phone to take photos.  Lunch will be provided for the children and snacks for adults. There will also be games and prizes.  Each family in attendance will be given a chance to win a fully decorated Christmas Tree donated by the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs.  Advance registration required.
 
 
New Year's Eve and Town Birthday
December 31, 2017
12:00 PM - 11:55 PM 
Come celebrate the birthday of the Town of Fort Myers Beach and New Year's Eve at Time Square.  Festivities begin at noon with free cupcakes starting between noon and 1pm.  Live music will be played throughout the day. Ball drop is at midnight followed by fireworks off of the pier.  Don't miss the fun! Be aware the bridge will be closed ONLY to oncoming traffic from 12:15am to 1:15 am during the fireworks. There will also be extended trolley service until 2am.

Hibiscus Cottage 

 
Bright tropical decor with a spacious living area, sofa bed and large TV.  Fully equipped, newly renovated galley kitchen. Comfy Queen size beds in both bedrooms.  Master bedroom has an en-suite bath with a large vanity and separate water closet with walk in shower.  Through the sliding glass doors from this room is the entrance to the beautiful screened,heated pool.  The pool faces south and gets lots of sun.  Outdoor dining, pool towels provided plus gas barbeque grill. The community park and fishing dock are just 2 doors down. The beach is a short 5 minute walk, easily access the trolley that runs up and down the island. This is a pet-friendly house (restrictions apply).
