Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves' Nature Boat Tour

Website Event Description: Participants will board our comfortable, 25-foot
Windsorcraft boat for a two-hour long informative tour to view local wildlife
that call the aquatic preserves their home, including dolphins, manatees, white
pelicans and other colonial wading and diving birds. Participants can use the
supplied binoculars to get an up-close and personal view of wildlife. This is a
unique and intimate tour accommodating a maximum of 6 guests. During the tour
visitors will learn about the importance of the estuaries, various habitats,
and history of the area. Cost is $30 per person for a 2 hour tour. A cooler
with ice and water will be provided, and participants can bring their own
drinks and snacks. Tours
will depart from the Gasparilla Marina located at: 15001 Gasparilla Rd, Placida,
FL 33946.
A $5 parking fee, separate from registration, must paid at the Gasparilla
Marina office (around the back of the marina complex) upon arrival. Please

Birthday Party

Website Event Description: The public is invited to celebrate Thomas Edison's 170th
birthday on February 10 and 11, at 10:00 a.m. Edison Park School Creative and
Expressive Arts students will dance and play stringed instruments on Feb. 10.
Everyone will sing happy birthday and cake will be served. The party continues
on Feb. 11, Edison's actual birthday, with
cake and singing. The party is an Edison Festival of Light sanctioned event. FULL DETAILS
