SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!  Are you traveling with children this summer?  Here are some great tips to keep your children having fun and keep your sanity! 



1. Bring new toys and books.
2. Use the technology made available to you.
3. If you have your own technology, bring it.
4. Pack for individual diaper scenarios. 
5. Have your child travel in footie pajamas. 
6. Bring a spare t-shirt for yourself. 
7. Forget the pacifier wipes, but bring a hand cleanser. 
8. Bring one carry on, and only one carry on.
9. If your child is old enough, do however, let them bring their own carry on.  
10. Bring snacks. 
11. If you have an infant, use the baby carrier of your choice.

We all love hanging out at the beach. However, finding activities to keep the kids busy can sometimes be difficult.  Here are some great activities to entertain the children while at the beach. 

1. Play beach-themed charades.
   
2. Take a mini inflatable pool to the beach and fill it with water so even your tiny tots can enjoy the sand and water in a safer way.
3. Play I Spy. Use binoculars -- real or pretend -- and take turns guessing what the looker sees by the clues he gives.
4. Go on a scavenger hunt searching for beach-themed items like seashells, sand dollars, seaweed and feathers.
5. Collect smooth rocks to paint when you get home.
6. Play Tic Tac Toe in the sand using pebbles or seashells instead of Xs and Os.
7. Make "sand pies" -- a beachy twist on the classic mud pies.
8. Play Ring Around the Rosie at the water's edge. Everyone will love falling down and making a big splash.
9. Write each person's name in the sand along with the year and their footprint and take a photo.
10. Bring plastic construction work toys like dump trucks and diggers to create a sand construction site.
11. Fly a kite.
12. Bring boats and other floating toys to play with in the water.
13. Play with squirt guns.
14. Draw pictures in smooth, wet sand with a stick or rock.
15. Make a keepsake "beach in a jar." Collect sand, pebbles, seashells or sea glass in a mason jar. When you get home, paint the name of the beach or city and year to commemorate the trip on the jar.
